Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Baking and Preparation:
1. Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes.
2. Measure and mix ingredients to ensure consistency and quality.
3. Operate and maintain baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters.

Recipe Development:
1. Develop and test new recipes for baked goods.
2. Adjust recipes based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients.

Quality Control:
1. Ensure that all baked goods meet quality standards and are visually appealing.
2. Monitor the freshness and presentation of baked products.

Inventory Management:
1. Order and manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies.
2. Maintain records of purchases and usage.

Sanitation and Safety:
1. Maintain a clean and organized baking area.
2. Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
3. Ensure proper storage of ingredients to prevent contamination.

Customer Service:
1. Interact with customers to take special orders and provide product recommendations.
2. Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality baked goods and friendly service.


Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a baker or in a similar role.
2. Experience with a variety of baking techniques and equipment.
3. A degree or certification in baking, pastry arts, or a related field is preferred but not always required.
4. Strong knowledge of baking ingredients and techniques.
5. Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
6. Attention to detail and creativity in presentation.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Good physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
9. Customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills.
